Who are we???
We’re two audiologists who know the Praxis struggle a little too well.
We both began our Audiology doctoral programs in 2018, coming from very different parts of the world — but bonded quickly over shared clinic days, late-night studying, and the collective realization that there had to be a better way to prepare for the Praxis.
Spoiler alert: there wasn’t.
So we made one.
Between the two of us, we’ve trained and worked across a variety of clinical settings, experienced multiple teaching styles, and seen firsthand how overwhelming Praxis prep can feel when you’re juggling:
- coursework
- clinical rotations
- personal life
- and the constant low-level anxiety of “Am I studying the right things?”
We’ve been in your shoes — and we remember how hard it was to know where to start, what actually mattered, and how to study without burning out.
Why AuD Survival Guide Exists
When it came time for us to take the Praxis, we realized there was no single resource that:
- felt comprehensive
- mirrored how the exam actually asks questions
- emphasized clinical reasoning over memorization
- and didn’t add more stress to an already stressful process
So we created our own study guide — and used it as the centerpiece of our Praxis preparation.
We both passed the Audiology Praxis on the first attempt, and more importantly, walked into the exam feeling confident, prepared, and clear-headed.
That guide became the foundation for AuD Survival Guide.
What Makes Our Guide Different
AuD Survival Guide was built to be:
- Straightforward (no fluff, no unnecessary overload)
- Clinically focused (because that’s how the Praxis thinks)
- Critical-thinking driven (not just fact recall)
- Actually usable alongside a busy AuD schedule
We designed it to help you:
- eliminate preparation stress
- focus on what matters most
- think through questions the way the exam expects
- and build real confidence — not just hope for the best
And unlike static prep materials, our guide is constantly evolving. As we receive feedback from students, we refine, expand, and improve the content to better reflect what AuD students truly need.
Who We’re Here For
We’re here for:
- AuD students balancing a million responsibilities
- students who feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material
- students who want structure, clarity, and confidence
- students who want to understand concepts — not just memorize them
We’ve already helped a growing number of students feel more confident and prepared heading into the Praxis, and we’re just getting started.
The Bottom Line
AuD Survival Guide was created by audiologists, for audiology students — with empathy, honesty, and a deep understanding of what this process actually feels like.
You don’t need another resource telling you to “study harder.”
You need one that helps you study smarter.
And that’s exactly why we’re here.
